About Me

Website Owner

I have been involved with wolves/wolfdogs for over 12 years. I have done some educational work, rescue and fostering. I have owned/handled all sorts of wolfdogs, ranging from almost pure dog (low content) to pure wolves. I have also done phenotyping of suspected wolf crosses at TX area shelters for St. Franics Wolf Sanctuary, located near Montgomery, TX.

I am blessed to share my life with three wolfdogs- 1 low, 1 mid and 1 upper mid content.

I hope everyone enjoys this website and Thank You for taking the time to read thru it!

Hi again! I just visited Full Moon Farm in NC! Nancy, the owner, said you have a wonderful website and that she knows you well :)
She also said she knows the owner of Dysart's Wolf Kennel, and said he is totally misrepresenting his animals. So I'm not going to visit him anymore! :D
Thank you for your amazing time and effort in this site!

Thanks! I am really excited because I am going to visit a high and mid content breeder soon! But I went on the breeder's website, and they said they breed MacKenzie Valley wolves with GSDs. I read your article about wolf dog breeders, and I was concerned after reading that they were pretty rare. Do you think you could look on their site and determine if they look like a reputable and responsible breeder? Thank you for your time!
Here is the address to the site:

Hi! Your site is absolutely fantastic! I have learned so much from it, and am so excited to now be a member! I have one question, however.
In the photo album, Phenotyping Requests, I was wondering if you allow people other than yourself to comment and share their opinion about the content of the dog. I have been doing lots of research on wolf dogs, and although I still consider myself a newbie (I have been researching for almost a year), I feel I may be ready to try estimating a dog's content. I would love to gain more knowledge by this, but I don't want to intrude if that was a specific album for you. Thank you!

They are 5 months on Feb 1, the mom is husky and dad was a "wolf" but neither of the pups look like dad and dad doesn't look like a wolf but they have flat backs, almost as big as my lab/Sheppard, my boy has huge pays, wolf markings with his tan, the thick fur and ears, doesn't have spotted tongue or gums... he is already humping and I hope its just to dominate. Karli doesn't look like mom or dad lol its so weird

I am curious how to distinguish if my pup is mid content wolf? he has multi colored nails and he barks so I automatically assume he is low content ? He also has dark amber , yellow eyes. He was not born solid

Thank You for taking the time to create this awesome site. What a great story about Moo ..God Bless You for saving the life of such an amazing animal. I can identify with what you do, I have rescued wolf dogs, shepherds etc. from hoarders, kill shelters and stupid breeders ! I hope people take the time to learn from your information!

He is growing every day it seems...I look at pictures of when we first got him and I am amazed lol His eyes are beginning to turn gold I think - They aren't blue anymore they are a goldish-brown. And he loves his new brother =P Unless he has a bone! lol

He is great! He will be five weeks tomorrow, very playful and we are socializing him as much as we can...only thing we have to work on is food aggression =P We are stroking his head and neck and touching the bowl as he eats (sometimes we will hand feed him) but he growls sometimes...it seems to be getting better though =] I would love to put pictures on here but I'm not sure how lol if you get the chance could you tell me how =]
