hi-w.d.l.-yes that is trues of this breed of wolf dog -the sarloos originated by crossing a mackenzie valley wolf with a gsd ,they are very gentle creatures -built for speed- ferocious hunters and nobody's fool -like any other wolf dog they have their own idea about nature and therefore what they need to be doing which may not always included the owner come night -they move silently and melt without trace into the night even when standing next to a person-but a great breed if someone wants a wolf dog but cannot handle a full blown hybrid -thats not to say they are easy .-just easier =take care now and my best
